Pretty good food. They forgot my French onion soup initially and since my shepherd’s pie was taking longer they kindly brought some free fries out in the meantime. Homemade pickles with the burgers were good, and the burgers had rave reviews. The chicken alfredo was kind of dry, it might have been sitting while the other dishes were finished. The brussel sprouts for the app were also good.

Rye and The Garage, Elmira Rye, along with its sister restaurant, The Garage, delivered an exceptional dining experience. In a town like Elmira, where trendy and upscale dining options are limited, Rye brings a refreshing vibrancy to the local food scene. The bar and coffee shop staff were not only friendly and professional but truly dedicated to enhancing the overall experience. For brunch, I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak, cooked to a perfect medium rare, was impressively tender for a flank cut, served atop a bed of perfectly crispy, well-seasoned fries. The variety of mimosas, coupled with a beautifully presented latte, further elevated the meal. I look forward to returning to Elmira and exploring more of what Rye has to offer.

Recommend trying their brunch, from the chicken and waffles to the eggs Benedict you will not be disappointed, even us non-breakfast people have opinions. The mimosas are must have including the peach flavored. While mimosas isn’t my first choice, they were so good. I will be back for a Blood Mary. I can’t commend the wait staff and bar service enough. There was a mishap with a tray of drinks and the staff handled it so well. I know first hand how awful such mishaps feel and you never know how the customer will react. You may want to market a new peach mimosas body spray, it does smell amazing. The staff and customers handled this situation with grace.

Let me just start by saying in short this was AWESOME. We tried 3 deserts, ordered drinks had a variety of food and everything scored top marks. The prickletini was surprisingly tasty and balanced flavor wise. I ordered a coke with cherries since they don't have cherry coke on the fountain. They have these super fancy dark red cherries that were... borderline mind blowing given I was expecting maraschino cherries. I had the ridiculous grilled cheese bacon cheese burger. I ordered medium and they landed that on the button which even specialty burger joints somehow mess up. The grilled cheese was pretty perfect seemed like cheddar and American in there. The burger actually had flavor from the meat, you could tell it was premium (they walked the talk found on the menu) the bacon was generously applied as well. Great burger. Even the fries were better than average by a good margin. I didn't actually get to try the fish fry (burger was massive so...) the 2 people who ordered it were thrilled with it. Buddy ordered the spaghetti dinner. I think this was the only one that wasn't enormously exciting mainly due to the portion size. In comparison to the other dishes serves and the prices considered the portion felt light hard to hit that right but that's what the thought was. On to dessert! The raspberry cheesecake was a hit. The ginger cake had actual ginger in it which elevated the flavor experience. As for the Creme brulee... it was the best I've had in quite some time. We recently had some in ithaca that was less than exciting since whomever prepared it burned the caramelized top. That was not the case here the custard was great and the top was just right. Well done . Finally the wait staff was attentive and present. The restaurant was slammed and things took a little while, with good company, good music and full drinks it was enjoyable none the less! They have an extensive liquor selection. I didn't check out the beer or wine list but they had both available. Oh and they offer boozey milkshakes so. That's a win and a reason to visit again when I'm allowed to drink

Had such a beautiful baby shower this past weekend at The Rye Bar and Restaurant. We were so pleased with Melanie, catering manager along with Charlie and the amazing staff!! The food, event space and overall service could not have been more perfect! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time and the service was fantastic. Would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Beautiful place that makes you happy to be there. The food was great, and the meal I had was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The brunch service was a little lacking (I think we got lost in the shuffle and forgotten for a while) but it seemed like our negative experience was an anomaly, and I can’t wait to go again.

We stopped here for dinner on our way home from elmira. I picked this placed from the reviews and the photos and it was a great choice! My wife ordered the rodeo burger with onion rings. The onion rings were fantastic. I ordered a peanut butter and jelly burger which I thought was odd and was why I had to try it. It was very delicious and a little messy. It was a very filling meal in a great atmosphere. All the staff was excellent and our server was great and personable. It was a very great experience and I'd definitely recommend stopping in for a great meal.

A major gem in Elmira! My family was looking for a last minute Sunday brunch spot to accommodate our group and Rye did not disappoint. The decor is beautiful, the menu is classic with enough of an exciting twist, and the staff was attentive and friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back for dinner and live music the next time I'm upstate. Highly recommend, you don't want to miss this experience.
